The problem with culture models and culture

How helpful culture models like that of Hofstede or Trompenaars may be to understand different cultures, they do not help us to understand our behavior based on our own culture. Although culture can be described with five or seven dimensions, our personal behavior is defined by much more. We are not only a product of our culture but also of our genetics and the dreams and whishes of our parents. Which also is the problem with culture models, their creation is inlfuenced by external factors like the culture of the creator of the model.
