The problem with culture models and culture

How helpful culture models like that of Hofstede or Trompenaars may be to understand different cultures, they do not help us to understand our behavior based on our own culture. Although culture can be described with five or seven dimensions, our personal behavior is defined by much more. We are not only a product of our culture but also of our genetics and the dreams and whishes of our parents. Which also is the problem with culture models, their creation is inlfuenced by external factors like the culture of the creator of the model.

Is capitalism the solution

In a previous article I pointed out some faulty assumptions that many capitalist carry about capitalism. Assumption like everybody is equal, everybody loves competition, everybody becomes better through pain. Although these assumptions are incorrect, as nobody is created equal or the same, most people find competition terrible and only a few people learn from being hurt, that does not mean that capitalism is all bad.

Capitalism hooraah, cough ugh aargghh

Capitalism is seen by many as the solution to all economic and social problems humans can encounter. The assumption behind capitalism however is wrong. Because capitalism assumes that all humans are equal. Which means capitalist think that everybody is like them. Which off course is wrong as most capitalist are men, and we know for sure that the human race is not only made up from men. So the first assumption of capitalist is proven wrong by nature, namely that all humans are equal. Behind this everybody is equal assumption, which is necessary to justify capitalism, there lies a world of other thoughts gone wrong. Lets start with the everybody is equal thought.
